Business Development Representative

Job Description

As a Business Development Representative at August Schell you will learn key strategy, marketing and sales techniques to help identify and develop new customer relationships. You will gain valuable knowledge in the latest cutting edge technologies and begin building your network within federal, state and local government agencies. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong positive relationships with our partners and customers, creating new business development initiatives, and promoting the August Schell mission.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Increase sales and market share through focused prospecting
  • Develop relationships with partner companies and partner representatives
  • Strategize campaigns and account planning
  • Create an accurate territory plan and account strategies
  • Generate sales leads and qualify sales opportunities
  • Aggressive follow-through
  • Work effectively in a team environment

Basic Qualifications and Requirements

  • Passion for learning how to succeed in technology sales
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Must be a competitive, self-starter, with a hunter mentality
  • Ability to build strong and trusted customer relationships
  • Self-motivated to achieve success in sales (required)
