Internal Splunk Program Manager / Technical Writer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Splunk Program Manager / Technical Writer to support all Splunk projects by providing programmatic and process management, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Splunk Program Manager / Technical Writer will provide strategic planning, critical thinking, thought leadership and visionary insight, while having practical and technical knowledge of Splunk. This team player will have excellent writing capabilities to effectively advocate Splunk Enterprise implementation to broad audiences across multiple government agencies. Capacity to understand the big picture and deep dive into technical and process details, as required.

Responsibilities as Splunk Program Manager

  • Provide oversight and strategic direction in the development of program deliverables in regards to Splunk implementation
  • Be a Splunk software expert to develop engaging content that demonstrates how to utilize Splunk technology
  • Develop and control program deadlines, budgets, and activities
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management
  • Access program performance and aim to maximize ROI

Responsibilities as Splunk Technical Writer

  • Review customer Requests for Pricing (RFPs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) to help determine how to structure the response to be compliant, compelling, and highly-rated by the customer
  • Engage with the capture management team during all RFP stages to assist with drafting solution responses and other capture support activities, where applicable
  • Assist in capturing the required elements needed to develop technically-compliant and persuasive responses to solicitations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of specialized and relevant experience in the IT industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and/or experience
  • Knowledge of Splunk and experience with its enterprise software solutions
  • Strong technical writing capabilities and experience
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbal
  • Ability to create original, high-quality documentation

Additional Information:

  • PMP Certification is not required, but is a plus
  • Security clearance is not required, but is a plus
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status is required
